A firmware problem has been widespread by increasing number of hard drives to be the terminal inoperable on power. This issue affects the following drive series: (for the list of numbers affected specific model, see end of report):

The problem affects units with capacities of 500 GB, 750 GB, 1TB or 1.5TB. The units that suffer this failure is â € ~ hanga € ™ in â € ~ been busy € ™, its total capacity were identified as LBA 0 or may report an â € ~ Smarta € ™ error.

The failure is due to a firmware problem that set a limit value valid for driveâ ™ € s â € ~ round loga € ™ case.
